Introduction to Lightroom (Online Class)

An introduction to the #1 software package used by photographers around the world. This will give an overview of all modules with additional attention given to the library module and develop modules to help you get the most out of every image in your catalog. Please have lightroom classic cc installed on your computer.

Thom Williams is a photographic artist currently living in Troy, NY. Thom earned a B.F.A. from SUNY Oswego with studio concentrations in Graphic Design and Photography. He has taken photographs ranging from fashion editorials, portraits, architecture, athletic events and street photography. Whether a gesture, expression, or angle of architecture, Thom is inspired by capturing images not otherwise seen of ordinary moments that can have profound reflective meaning for the viewer. As an artist, he is interested in experimenting digitally with images and more recently in presenting images in a unique multidimensional way.

His fashion editorials have been published in Saratoga Living, The Muse and Tatoo Envy Magazine among others. Thom's work can be viewed on TM Williams Photography through Facebook or Instagram. Teaching at multiple art centers for the past 3 years in person and virtually beginning in 2020, he has found an avenue to share his passion and foster growth for others interested in photography.

Black & White Photography (Online Class)

In the beginning there was B&W photography and to this day many purists believe this is the only TRUE form of photography. Learn what makes a great B&W image and how to start seeing opportunities to create images in B&W. This will be an opportunity to shoot in B&W to see first hand how it differs NOT just convert color images to B&W.
